How to Use
Before you start using Doxycycline (Doxycycline Hyclate), you need to make an appointment with your doctor and inform him of your medical history. Doxycycline (Doxycycline Hyclate) should be used exactly as prescribed. The medicine needs to be taken with a full glass of water. Swallow the capsule whole without breaking, opening or crushing.
For the oral suspension, you need to shake it thoroughly for at least 15 seconds before measuring the recommended dose. A pharmacist will provide you with the proper dose measuring cup or spoon.
Doxycycline can be taken with or without food. However, never take the medicine with dairy products. Dairy products will make it hard for the body to absorb the medicine into the body. Take the complete dose without stopping even after the symptoms go away.
