Suprax (Cefixime) is an antibiotic prescribed to treat various bacterial infections. It is a penicillin antibiotic. Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any antibiotics before a prescription is given.

 

How to Use
Always start by talking with a doctor before using Suprax (Cefixime). The doctor should know what you are allergic to, your medical history, and the drugs you are currently using. Persons with diabetes need to inform the doctor of their condition right away since the Cefixime suspension has sucrose which can be problematic to persons with diabetes.

Use Suprax (Cefixime) exactly as prescribed. Don’t stop using the medication just because the symptoms have gone away. Use the medicine for the whole prescribed period.

The medication will work best when taken 30 minutes before or after taking meals. Swallow the tablets with plenty of water. For the chewable tablets, chew them completely before you swallow. The extended-release tablet should be swallowed whole without breaking or chewing. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Shake the oral suspension thoroughly before measuring the recommended dose.

Storage
Store at room temperature and far from direct heat and moisture. Discard the liquid medicine after 14 days.
